Prof. CUT. D.Sc. Ph.D. Eng. Arch. Rafał Blazy
Professor at the Faculty of Architecture, Cracow University of Technology
Prof. Rafał Blazy is a habilitated doctor of technical sciences in the discipline of Architecture and Urban Planning and holds a Ph.D. in urban and spatial planning. He currently serves as Vice-Dean of the International School of Engineering and Head of the Department of Spatial Planning, Urban and Rural Design at the Cracow University of Technology. From 2018 to 2020, he held the positions of Head of the Chair of Spatial Planning and Environment Protection and Director of the Institute of Urban and Regional Design.
He is the author of over 77 scientific publications, including four monographs and co-author of three academic books in the field of spatial planning. His research interests focus on spatial, urban, and regional planning. Prof. Blazy is an active reviewer for numerous scientific journals, includingSustainability,Applied Sciences,Atmosphere,Land(all MDPI),SGEM,IOP Conference Series,Technical Journal of the Cracow University of Technology, andTechnical Transactions.
In addition to his academic work, he is a licensed architect and urban planner with extensive professional experience. He has designed a wide range of architectural projects—residential, industrial, and service buildings—and contributed to the development of multiple Local Spatial Development Plans. He is the founder and head of his own architectural studio.
